There was some good news for South Australia’s building and construction industry with the announcement of a new $70 project development which will be added to the Adelaide CBD skyline by the beginning of 2017.
The development will be a total of 260 luxury apartments across 18 stories situated on Grote Street. The complex will be made up of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments as well as a substantial retail centre. Lower level New York-style car staking facility, rooftop garden with communal barbecue facilities, rooftop pool, three-hole mini golf course, gym and fitness centre complete with walking track and a cinema will offer residents all the amenities they might need.
A great boost to Adelaide’s economy, the development by national builder Watpac will create around 400 construction jobs over the coming year. And apart from job creation, the project will also help towards the regeneration of Adelaide’s CBD as a great place to live, creating an increased positive outlook on the Adelaide apartment market as a whole.
The developer, Watpac, have had some great success in the CBD recently, having already completed King William Street’s boutique Mayfair Hotel as well as the Ibis Hotel on Grenfell Street.
Proof that there is an ever increasing demand for luxury apartment living in Adelaide’s CBD, more than 70 percent of the apartments have already been sold.
